Goals

We strive every day to achieve the following goals

  1. Attract urban young men’s consistent voluntary participation.
  2. Gain an understanding of our participants and their backgrounds.
  3. Help participants identify their opportunities, challenges, and goals.
  4. Build our brotherhood & leadership.
  5. Develop positive young men who understand how to balance aggression with respect, integrity, and ethics.

Services

Drop-in hours from 4pm to 9pm in the Winter, and 5pm to 10pm in the Spring, Summer, & Fall

Kitchen

With the assistance of our young men, we prepare and server food each night thanks to our partnership with "We Don't Waste" and "Food Bank of the Rockies".

Sigma Chi Music Studio

We host music production and lyric-writing classes each Thursday at 5pm. Funded by three Sigma Chi donors, and designed and assembled by Chris Guillot of Cherry Sound.

Active/Aggressive Room

Nightly, our young men release aggressive energy and workout on our two large heavy punching bags and other boxing and workout equipment.

Computer Lab

Our donated computers are used primarily for social media like Facebook and YouTube, as well as homework, job searches & applications.

Library

A quieter room, the library has four bookcases of fiction and nonfiction books, a popular chess board, and chairs & a couch that invites dialogue.

Meditative/Prayer Room

Our quietest room, which features yoga mats, zafu meditative cushions, waterfall, music, and bookcases honoring the religious backgrounds of our young men.

We have chosen to include only males as participants in order to focus our learning, resources and achievements on the unique needs and attributes of young men. We welcome women’s involvement as parents, on our Advisory Team and Board, and within our partner agencies.
